Radio report: Cool heads in hot times. “It’s madness. I see dangers in the USA”

Börsenradio | Uwe Eilers, CEO of Frankfurter Vermögen, in an interview with Andreas Groß (Börsenradio) about a world oscillating between ‘War and Peace’ and ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’. In the midst of geopolitical tensions, the capital markets and investors are preoccupied with the high level of US government debt (including the weakness of the dollar) and the risk of inflation. Asset manager Uwe Eilers (Frankfurter Vermögen): ‘Either the debt has to be inflated away or the government has to economise and raise taxes.’

The next Wall of Worry is the US President’s tariff policy. Is the situation on Wall Street better than the mood? Eilers assumes that American companies have indeed become cautious. “And citizens could also consume less in the future. That is a major risk.” He continues to see opportunities in the tech sector – albeit more in the second tier.
